October 3 | Havel 90 Festival – Full-Day Film Program
Bohemian National Hall, New York
6:30 PM | Film: Havel’s Audience with History Followed by a Q&A with filmmaker and producer Michael Wolkowitz.
A lesser-known part of Havel’s relationship with film was his own work as a film critic. As a young writer, especially in the late 1950s, he wrote about cinema and followed French film with particular interest. The program will therefore return not only to films connected with his life and era, but also to titles he wrote about and to his own texts on cinema.
In collaboration with The Czech Center New York.
